About Jackie ...
One of my earliest memories is of going to the library with
my mother, marveling at the long rows of books, wondering
who could possibly read all of them.
And I remember thinking, "One day, people are going to
come to the library to read the books I write."
In addition to writing, Jackie Coleman is an technology professional with a
large corporation in Evansville, Indiana, where she lives with her three children.
Her mother, Esther, was a voracious reader, instilling in her children the love of
reading at an early age. Jackie considers this to be the greatest gift a parent
can give a child. Growing up, the library was a constant fixture in Jackie's life.
She has fond memories of her frequent trips to her local library with her mother
Jackie is often asked if the books she writes are about herself, or based on her
life or people she knows, to which she reples, "The stories and people are
purely fictional. Sometimes a character is a compilation of traits of several
people, but no, everything I write about is one hundred percent a figment of my
"Writing fulfills something deep inisde me. It's both fun and grueling ... and
thrilling beyond belief to hold a book you've written in your own hands."
Jackie is a member of Romance Writers of America and Music City Romance
